Today I am looking at troubleshooting Aquamaster High Efficiency Water Softeners with excess water in the brine tank.

Check the obvious first!

1) Is the drain line restricted, frozen, or pinched? Remove the restriction, thaw, or straighten drain line.

2) Plugged brine line, brine line flow control, or air check/draw tube. Remove the Brine Valve Housing Assembly and the Safety Shut Off Assembly. Clean the flow control, air check/draw tube, and brine line. Clean any sediment from the brine cabinet.

3) Plugged injector assembly? Clean or replace injector. Be sure to replace the throat with a new one, if removed. Sticking brine refill valve? Remove valve. Check for obstructions.
