Hi, I installed the filters yesterday. The first filter, the one with the plastic rim was damaged. The top ring was Brocken and cracked. It looked like it had been dropped before it was packaged, there was no damage on the box it arrived in. I still installed it as I figured it would still function.

I just checked and the filter I received is not the Black Maxx filter CBC5CT03. This is the filter I ‘ve always received from Water Store.
The filter I received is a Franklin filter FWCB1005.

Just received the part due to the CANADA POST strike !
As I though, the valve fit my HAGUE 96 MAXIMIZER well.
The only difference is the tube connecter direction, can remove the tube connecter then turn into oppsite direction as the original part.
But since the HAGUE 96 MAXIMIZER is a two tank model, I just connect the tube from the other direction because the tube is long enough !
