Genie AUTOMATIC WATER JUG PUMP Review.

Genie AUTOMATIC WATER JUG PUMP Review.

If you go camping, boating, have an RV or cottage getting your water from a water jug is always a pain. Yes, you can use a hand pump but when drawing larger quantities of water for cooking it becomes a pain. That’s where this Genie Rechargeable water pump comes in.

There really is very little assembly, you just push in the spout, install the silicone pickup tube and then install it on your jug. It works just fine on the standard 3 or 5 gallon water jugs but will work on any jug with a standard 55 mm crown neck. You’ll need to charge it up using the supplied cord for about two hours prior to your first use. Once charged the red light will automatically turn off. You can plug it into a surge suppressor like this one that has USB outlets, a computer or you can use your home or automobile charger for your cell phone. It has a built in safety shut off after running water for about 1 minute.

You can fill about 5 of these 5 gallon jugs on one charge and it pumps water at a rate of ½ gallon per minute. Remember that if it sits for long periods of time it will still lose it’s charge and need to be recharged. When the indicator light goes dim, the pump needs to be recharged These are great pumps and are perfect for camping, RV, boating or cottage use. Easy to use, and the charge lasts a long time, should be enough for a week of use for most families.
