If your Aquamaster or WaterBoss water softener has stopped regenerating it could be the motor needs replacement. It’s super easy to test it. 1) Unplug the power. 2) Just unscrew and remove the top screw from the motor, loosen the bottom one so it slides out from it’s gear meshing with the Drive End Cap assembly. 3) Plug the power supply back in. 4) While the motor is turning the gear, grab the gear and try to stop the motor by squeezing the gear. 5) If you can stop it, the motor is shot and needs replacement 6) If you can’t stop it, the motor is fine and you need to troubleshoot elsewhere.
