This Genuine LUMINOR BLACKCOMB RQ-420 UV Replacement Quartz Sleeve is the replacement sleeve for LUMINOR BLACKCOMB High Output UV water purification systems:  LB4-Z1/Z2/Z12; LB5-Z1/Z2/Z12; LBH4-151, LBH5-151,LBH6-151; LBH4-Z1/Z12/Z22/Z122/Z222; and LBH5-Z1/Z12/Z22/Z122/Z222 series.

The quartz sleeve keeps the UV lamp from shorting out and maintains the lamp's ideal operating temperature. Mineral build-up hinders the lamp's effectiveness, so if  the sleeve cannot be 100% cleaned, it needs to be replaced.  It is recommended to clean the UV sleeve at least annually and have a spare UV sleeve available, which is an easy do it yourself replacement.
