How to Test Clack WS1 Water Softener Power Supply If you’ve noticed that the display on your Clack WS1 water softener is blank it’s super easy to troubleshoot! This will also test the Clack WS1 Transformer V3186 1) Make sure that it’s plugged into an electrical outlet that works. If so, then either the circuit board or the power supply is at fault 2) Test the power supply by plugging the multi meter into the leads and checking the voltage. You connect it like this! 3) If you get voltage the circuit board is bad and needs to be replaced. 4) If you don’t get power the transformer is bad and needs replacement. Or possible both!
