Removing the Clack WS1 valve from your water softener without pulling up the riser tube is tricky.

Check out the right way here!

1) Bypass the water softener

2) Shut off your water and start a regeneration cycle to release the pressure.

3) Unplug the valve

4) Disconnect the drain line and brine line

5) Disconnect the valve from the bypass.

6) Grab the tank and rotate the valve counter clockwise. You might need to smack it with the palm of your hand to get it started.

7) Use two hands to unscrew and whip it back and forth to break it free from the riser tube.

8) Once it starts to wobble, carefully keep unscrewing it and rock it back and forth while removing it from the riser tube.
