Common Questions

Not necessarily! This system is designed with the DIYer in mind. If you're comfortable with basic plumbing, you can follow our step-by-step video guide. If not, a local plumber can easily assist with installation.

Most filters need replacing every 6–12 months, depending on your water quality and usage. We’ll walk you through your filter schedule below and link to the correct replacements.

The UV lamp should be replaced every 12 months—even if it’s still glowing. The effectiveness of the UV disinfection diminishes over time, so timely replacement is key.

The unit includes a bottom-mounted drain plug to make draining simple. Check the instructions or our video guide for a quick walk-through.

The UV system will stop disinfecting during a power outage. You should avoid using untreated water until power is restored and the system is back on.

We don’t recommend it. UV systems must be protected from freezing and weather exposure. Install indoors or in a temperature-controlled utility space.
