Common Questions

While this system is designed for easy installation, we recommend hiring a licensed plumber unless you have prior experience with water softener installations. Proper setup is essential for optimal performance and to prevent leaks or damage.

This unit is a water softener and does not use replaceable filters like other filtration systems. However, you'll need to regularly check and refill the softener salt. We suggest checking the salt level every 4–6 weeks depending on your water usage.

This model does not include a UV disinfection system, so there is no UV lamp to replace. If you're using this softener alongside a UV system, refer to that unit’s guide for replacement intervals (typically once every 12 months).

To drain the system, first shut off the water supply and disconnect the unit from power. Then, use the bypass valve to isolate the softener. Locate the drain line and slowly open it to allow water to exit the tank. Refer to your manual for complete instructions.

In the event of a power outage, the system will stop regenerating, but your water will continue to flow through. Once power is restored, the system will retain its settings thanks to built-in backup memory and resume normal operation.

No — this system must be installed indoors or in a heated space to prevent freezing and damage. Avoid installing it in locations exposed to the elements or where temperatures can fall below 5°C (41°F).
